The good news is that 71% of British consumers regularly buy fashion and accessories online, compared with 73% of Americans and 62% of Australians, according to this survey.

What's striking though is the continuing gap in expectations between British consumers and retailers regarding shipping. In particular 86% of consumers would like a specified timeslot for delivery, something only 27% of retailers are offering. Also, less than 50% of retailers offer click & collect, something 88% of British consumers want. I sense an unmet need.
